| Women’s
Association
The
women have 3 groups that are open to anyone: a 9-hole
Monday morning group, an 18-hole Wednesday morning group
and a 9-hole evening group. Organized events are scheduled
each from April through October with prizes being awarded
at the end of the year. Women golfers also play home
and away matches with other clubs in the area and conduct
Member/Member and Member/Guest tournaments.
Men’s
Events
Throughout
the golf season, several special events will be held
for golf course members in the men’s category
including a Member/Member event, the Club Championship
and a Tough Turkey event that is usually held in November.
Senior
Association
Senior
Days are on Tuesday and Thursday year-round and are
open to London Downs members age 55 and older. The Senior
Association has home and away matches scheduled along
with Member/Member, Member/Guest tournaments and a Senior
Championship and host The Assocociation sponsors The
Counts Cup, an annual tournament featuring the 12 best
senior golfers from senior clubs in the area competing
for the club team title.
Handicap
System
All
association members are registered in the VSGA handicapping
system, which is included in association dues. Members
have access to the on-site handicap computer and also
receive the Virginia Golfer magazine and other pertinent
information pertaining to the VSGA. |
